A St. Lawrence Saturday

A few weeks back, we were both in Toronto for the holidays and when we’re in the same city we tend to spend as much time together as possible whether it’s working out, cooking, shopping, or just exploring the city.

Over the break, Toronto was blessed with unseasonably warm temperatures which we took advantage of and spent an afternoon walking around Piper’s neighborhood of the St. Lawrence Market. One of the great things we love about this area is it feels like a real neighborhood instead of being right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Toronto. This area has great architecture, green space, food, and culture.

We headed straight to the Gooderham Building at Wellington and Church to take a few photos and then continued on our way to Balzacs Coffee on Market Street. With warm beverages in hand, a trip to the St. Lawrence Market was in order. For Piper, the market is a great place to get organic foods that are natural and gluten free to help maintain her celiac diet.

Our weekend uniforms vary from one weekend to the next based on the ever changing weather but we both like to incorporate a statement piece while staying comfortable for a day spent on foot. Pepper’s red Givenchy bag adds a perfect pop of color while being functional for a day out and Piper’s amazing black and white plaid coat is stylish but warm for those brisk winter days.
