Mum Weekend

I was lucky enough to have a mum filled Saturday in the city. I spent the day exploring the new Saks on Queen Street with my mum, who is hands down, my favourite shopping comrade. She just makes everything so fun and I can never be in a bad mood around her. Side note, how amazing is her sweater? She is obsessed with skulls, so every time she sees a piece like that, she can't say no to add it into her collection. This one is Zadig & Voltaire, which is sold out, but similar here.

For those of you who haven't had the chance to go check out Saks, I would strongly recommend it. They have such variety to their merchandise and designers, with excellent customer service. I was focused on finding a new piece of jewelry and handbag to celebrate my recent promotion. Naj, who works at the Yuman counter was extremely knowledgeable in the products and was more than helpful in finding the perfect piece. (Side note; a price increase to all Yurman products starts tomorrow, so head over there today if you've had your eye on something for a while now, and ask for Naj!)

With the spring-like weather in Toronto this weekend, I opted for a hybrid outfit. I bundled up with a big neutral coloured scarf for my 7 minute walk to the Eaton Centre, which kept me warm enough but allowed me to peel down for a comfortable shopping experience. Just another reason of why I love spring layering!

I am legit obsessed with the "Jamie Jeans" from Topshop. They are hands down the most comfortable jeans that I own, so they make for a great pair of "errand-running, on your feet all day" type of jean. I opted for high wasted, they run extremely true to size.

After a great day of shopping, I got to meet up with my other favourite mum, Linell. She is hands down one of the most fashionable people I know, so I really regret not taking a picture of her outfit! She was staying at the Thompson Hotel with her husband and two girls (who were at BSS' Father Daughter Dance), so we went to Colette Grand Cafe for a bite to eat. They just launched a new Spring menu a couple days ago, so go check it out; its amazing! We both ordered the Beef Tartare and Trout entree. Beware: they are NOT French sized portions, we easily could have shared the amount of food! But none of the less, the food was phenomenal. I've heard amazing things about their brunch food wise, but I also can't resit a cafe that looks as cute as Colette does! This is definitely next on my brunch diaries. Have any of you been there for brunch? What are your thoughts, let me know in the comments below!

As always, thanks for stopping by! xx
