On Sunday morning, I had the chance to meet and collaborate with two other local bloggers based in the Bay Area. I had a lovely breakfast with @thelocalz at the 20th Century Cafe which I'd been looking forward to all week!
The 20th Century Cafe is a chic, retro corner bakery featuring sweet & savory specialties from Vienna, Budapest & Prague nestled at the corner of Gough and Oak Street in Hayes Valley. The cafe was inspired by thoughts about food, old movies, vintage cookbooks and travelling through Europe which is very clear when you enter the space. The ladies who run this spot are perfectly turned out in attire from the early 20's and made the experience very authentic.
We made sure to arrive right when it opened to avoid the typical SF brunch crowd and were still greeted with a line of people waiting to get inside to feast on their delicious food and treats. There were so many delicious things on the menu and we tried their bagel, granola, Russian honey cake, and lots of coffee! It was all so delicious and I'm already looking at their lunch specials to try out on my next stop in.
Our breakfast was spent talking about our mutual interest and passion for being creative, exploring the beautiful city of San Francisco and Bay Area, and future aspirations for travel. It was lovely to connect with @thelocalz and I'm looking forward to sharing more of our future adventures on Pepper and Piper! Make sure to check out and follow @thelocalz on Instagram for some drool worthy inspiration.
