Everytime I'm home in Toronto I make sure I stop into a few stores: Zara, Aritzia, Lululemon, and Kit and Ace. The price point is the same as it is in the US except it's in Canadian Dollars which means its 30% cheaper and I can't argue with that. My 26th birthday is coming up next week and I'm heading for brunch and then to Dolores Park on Saturday morning with a group of friends and was looking for something to wear.
For those of you who know me or have seen my outfits on Pepper and Piper, I tend to stick to neutrals and black but I felt drawn to these feminine, floral, and prairie inspired pieces that I saw in Zara.
I've seen this neutral colored suede bag on the Zara website for months and have always liked it. Its a small suede cross side bag with dark gunmetal details. I have the chained tucked into the bag (for aesthetic photography purposes), but it's the perfect small cross body bag for summer. If you're more adventurous than me, Zara also carries this bag in a lovely shade of sapphire blue.
As soon as I saw this exposed shoulder red top, I knew I was going to try it on. It's not my usual black or neutral color, but I thought it would look great with my cropped Citizen skinny blue jeans and black converse. Its casual with a hint of sophistication and so on trend with the exposed shoulder. I'm looking forward to wearing this on the weekend!
So this jacket is actually a couple of seasons old but it is one of my all time favorite jean jackets. I love that it is not the traditional cut of a jean jacket and has an almost bomber feel. It has some embroidered detailing which ties in beautifully with the embellished trend for summer. I did find some similar options from Zara here, here, and here.
I spotted this nude crochet shift dress and thought it would be great for those abnormally hot summer days in San Francisco. Even if I don't get tons of wear out of it in SF, I'm packing it for my two week vacation at the cottage in August where I'll be wearing it on repeat over my bathing suit.
I love popping into Zara every few weeks to see what they have in store. There is something about seeing their items in person so you can feel the fabric and check out the fit. Let me know if you've had any great Zara finds this season! I'd love to see them. I'm on the hunt for a pair of black flat sandals if anyone has a recommendation.
As always, thanks for stopping by!!
